In Volume 13, Issue 1 (January 2026), the article, “Rationale and Design of the Roflumilast or Azithromycin to Prevent COPD Exacerbations Clinical Trial” contained an error in the Materials and Methods section, Primary and Secondary subsection, third sentence. This third sentence should have read:

“Secondary outcomes include (1) moderate COPD exacerbation, all-cause hospitalization, or all-cause death (secondary composite outcome); and (2) individual components of the primary and secondary composite outcomes: moderate COPD exacerbation, all-cause hospitalization, and all-cause death. Moderate exacerbation was defined as treatment with antibiotics or systemic corticosteroids for respiratory exacerbations not associated with a hospitalization.”

(The original incorrect description published was: “Secondary outcomes include the individual components of the composite outcome and COPD-related acute care events [hospitalization, emergency department visit, or urgent care visit].”)
